Punjabi Moti Halwai - Review

On 3rd June 2023, visit Punjabi Moti Halwai at Cawasji Patel Street, Fort, Mumbai. I have been there earlier too, during weekdays and at that time it was a lot of waiting somehow I got a shared seat. That time what I had eaten I do not remember. So this time I thought let's go there once again, with my friend and try some dishes that this restaurant is actually famous for as the restaurant was empty maybe because of the odd timings on Saturday.

So, very first I ordered Dal Pakwan, and it arrived within 2 mins me and my friends finished it. It was that tasty I would say. Secondly, we ordered Chole Samosa, with sweet and green chutney, samosa was tasty, but the chole was not so fun to eat and the quantity against the two Samosas was very very less. So I asked the waiter about the extra chole but he said it will be chargeable. But he brought the extra chole and didn't charge us.

Thirdly, by the recommendation of the waiter, he brought Kachori, a single piece with some chole and green chutney mixed in sweet chutney. Kachori was disliked by me and my friend both. Kachori didn't meet my expectations and I have Big Kachoris at many places, and they are better than this one. If you even try local / corner Bikaneri Sweets Shop or any other, they make it tastier.

So after this snack, we had to end our carvings with a hot drink. So Coffee was ordered for Me and Tea for my friend.

Conclusion:

It is not always necessary that your taste buds like all the dishes of your favourite place. So do not always keep high hopes, just enjoy the food and feel up your stomach.
