Embarking on a gastronomic journey at Hotel Sai Prasad in MIDC, Andheri East, I found myself entangled in a web of contrasting experiences that left me both satisfied and contemplative.



Unveiling Flavors:

The aroma of spices and sizzling delights welcomed me into the modest abode of Hotel Sai Prasad. With a reputation for serving up delightful treats, my order of Egg Bhurji and Butter Roti promised a culinary adventure that had not disappointed in the past.


Unexpected Twists:

However, the tale took an unexpected turn when a discovery on my roti gave rise to a moment of culinary suspense. A hair, a tiny intruder on my plate, threatened to overshadow the flavours that had initially captivated my taste buds.


Hygiene Dilemma:

In a country where hygiene concerns often tiptoe into the dining experience, this encounter raised questions about the delicate balance between taste and cleanliness. The waiter's nonchalant explanation, while somewhat amusing, served as a reminder of the challenges faced by both patrons and establishments in maintaining impeccable hygiene standards.


Hygiene vs. Taste Paradox:

The paradox of places with less-than-perfect hygiene consistently delivering mouthwatering dishes echoed through my thoughts. The inner conflict between the desire for delectable flavours and the insistence on hygiene lingered, as it often does in the realm of Indian dining.

Undeterred, I opted for a diplomatic approach, accepting a replacement roti and silently passing on a gentle reminder about the importance of cleanliness in food service. The partial charge for the tainted roti, though eyebrow-raising, was a compromise I made, having already indulged in a significant portion of the meal.

While navigating this culinary rollercoaster, I found solace in the world of cinema. The Nothing Phone 1 and Defy earbuds became my companions as I immersed myself in the captivating tale of 'Sam Bahadur.' The movie's opening scenes unfolded with cinematic grandeur, creating a unique harmony between the visual feast on screen and the culinary delights on my plate.


Conclusion with a Fizz:

Concluding this culinary escapade on a refreshing note, a chilled Mazza provided a much-needed palate cleanser. As I sipped on the bubbly delight, I pondered the intricacies of dining in a land where flavours dance on the edge of hygiene, leaving one to navigate the culinary landscape with both caution and curiosity.


Hotel Sai Prasad, with its rollercoaster of flavours and unexpected twists, remains an enigmatic spot in my culinary diary. Will I return for another round? The answer hangs in the balance, a testament to the complex relationship between taste and hygiene in the vibrant tapestry of Indian dining experiences.
